2018: Year Of The Sea
Goodbye 2017: Year Of Legends, Hello 2018: Year Of The Sea!
During 2018, Visit Wales will be helping us to celebrate all things coastal. There will be special events and attractions throughout the year. Did you know that Wales has a 870 mile Wales Coast Path running the whole length of the Welsh coast, and part of the Coast Path can be walked straight from Gors-lŵyd? Well, you know now!
The Llŷn Peninsula has a beautiful coastline with hidden beaches and coves, harbours and islands – all waiting to be discovered.
Wales has more Blue Flag beaches per mile than anywhere in the Britain and Gors-lŵyd is also in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Why not take a boat trip to Bardsey Island, spotting dolphins and seals along the way? You can also try sailing, scuba diving, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, rib-rides and surfing. Don’t forget Surf Snowdonia – man-made inland waves in picturesque surroundings.
We also have rivers where you can go fishing, white water rafting and canyoning.
You are never more than just over an hour away from the sea, so there are plenty of water activities nearby when you stay at Gors-lŵyd. At the end of your busy day, get back to the cottage, light the log burner and relax knowing you are making the most of your stay and enjoying the 2018 Year Of The Sea!
