The Fantastic Conwy Feast!
The fantastic Conwy Feast! Friday night, Saturday and Sunday 26-28 October. A weekend celebration of food, drink, arts, crafts and music – I look forward to this every year!
This year, is the Conwy Feast’s 15th year and the programme crammed with all sorts of activities. On Saturday and Sunday there will be cooking demonstrations in the River Food Hall. Local chefs will showcase the best of Wales and will cook up some delicious food!
In the River Food Hall there will be many stalls of food and drink from Wales and further afield. Try before you buy – and if you have too many bags there is even a chilled drop-off point for you to collect your bags later.
On the High Street, there will be a Family Cooking Academy – where chefs will give lessons on how to make simple street food at home. Suitable for all ages.
The Feast Farmyard will be at St Mary’s Church Yard – see all sorts of animals including alpacas. New for this year, you will also be able to get up close to some Mini Beasts – great for children (and adults) of all ages!
Book a place for wine tasting at the Royal Cambrian Academy of Art on Crown Lane. £10 per ticket and this is on Saturday evening. Taste wines from Bodnant and Tanners.
Along the quayside and High Street, wander among all the street food stalls. A choice of food from all over the world – take your choice!
Head for the Makers Hall at St Mary’s Church for craft demonstrations from blacksmiths, weavers, basketry, wood turning, jewellery, ceramics, art and lots more.
Live music from Friday night too. During Saturday and Sunday, music will be in the afternoon in the marquee along the quayside.
Parking is no problem as there is a park and ride system in place which runs regularly throughout the weekend.
Don’t forget that entry to Conwy Castle is ½ price over the weekend – show your Feast wristband.
There is certainly lots to do and lots to see over this brilliant weekend – definitely one for your diary!
